BADGES

Swim Wild Squamish badges provide an incentive for members to try new things, push their limits, participate in club events, and contribute to the community.

Each year, we will have a badge ceremony where our members can celebrate their achievements and the achievements of their fellow swimmers. You can choose to receive your badge(s) digitally (no charge) or physically (nominal fee).

Badges are renewed each year, so you can complete these challenges over and over again! Additional badges may also be added later, so keep checking back to see what this year has in store.

How to Apply

Badges are awarded based on the honour system, which means you can earn badges both at club swims and on your own time. If you believe you have met the criteria to earn a badge, email info@swimwildsquamish.com with the words "Badge Request" in the subject line. In that email, include your name, which badge(s) you're applying for, and whatever "proof" you feel is appropriate. Examples of acceptable "proof" could be:

  1. Details of the time, date, location and swim partner (e.g., for Skinny Dip)
  2. A link to your Strava (e.g., for distance challenges)
  3. A photo of you completing the swim (e.g., First Ocean Swim)
  4. A list of the dates of the club swims your attended (e.g., for club swim challenges)

Please try to submit your badge request no later than 2 weeks after the swim date. Backdated swims may not be accepted.
